Positive Discipline is a way to communicate with your child that promotes self-respect and self-worth. When children feel better about themselves, they do better. Children respond to positive discipline in cooperative way. Our goal as a parent is to keep the door to communication open between our children and us. Positive Discipline supports that goal. Parents use a FIRM but KIND approach in their parenting style. This helps children develop self-discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.
